Business Development Executive – Office Based

Key Purpose

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new opportunities within their assigned territory. The territory for this role will be assigned from the current focus markets and geographies.

As part of the role they will collaborate with marketing to create campaigns, follow-up and qualify opportunities. They will also collaborate with the field sales teams in direct and partner sales to close larger deals. The role will include targets for opportunity generation and closure.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Executive, you will:

  • Proactively generate meetings and new sales opportunities through aggressive prospecting, networking and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create campaigns, qualify leads, measure effectiveness, and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate regularly with the field sales to develop a strategy for each opportunity and account.
  • Employ appropriate account mapping and mining techniques to research and build a contact base in new and existing accounts
  • Utilise creativity and initiative in establishing rapport with the customer and obtaining pertinent information from customers via the telephone, online and offline networking, and social media to establish each contact’s needs and role in a Cortex proposition.
  • Utilise and diligently maintain accurate records and forecasts in CRM, Sales Order Processing, and Finance systems.
  • Build and map roles to networks of contacts within target organisations to support complex selling methods
  • Provide excellent customer service (handle all incoming information requests and sales calls promptly).
  • Preate and prioritise a strategic target account list in collaboration with sales management
  • Coordinate with pre-sales engineers to provide pre-sales support.
  • Meet or exceed new opportunity generation targets
  • Present to C-level executives the value of our solutions.
  • Prepare activity reports as required and attend pipeline and team meetings.
  • Travel to various industry events as appropriate

Enterprise Sales Executive – Remote and mobile

Location: Global

Key Purpose

The Direct Sales Executive will be responsible for driving new business development, coordinating sales engagement, and working alongside ecosystem partners with all accounts in their territory.

The territory for this role will be periodically aligned with strategic focus – currently Telecommunications, IT and Insurance and expanding rapidly.

  • They will collaborate with marketing to create campaigns, follow-up and qualify opportunities.
  • They will drive accounts sales directly to closure
  • They will collaborate with certified and industry partners to drive revenue.
  • They will carry targets for revenue.

Cortex is seeking a senior sales executive with experience in value-based selling for complex enterprise software or solutions. You will be a highly articulate and literate person with the gravitas to command attention and respect at many levels in large prospect organisations; able to operate as easily at board level as with the technical sponsors, this individual will thrive on external competition and excel in challenging high-value environments. The engagement model is to engage directly with prospects and partners through a collaboration that builds mutual trust and provides annual recurring revenue growth sales execution for Cortex and Cortex Solutions into net new business customers.

The ideal candidate will be a result-driven, success-oriented individual with extensive experience in large deal generation and closing. They will have a ready portfolio of senior contacts in large IT organisations and selected partners. They will be a self-starter, with a can-do attitude and be able to operate within a growing organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a recent background in big-ticket complex enterprise software sales working with both the lines of business and IT. They will have a deep understanding of the business models and operational drivers for SI’s, Service Providers and delivery partner organisations.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Communications Executive – Office Based

Key Purpose

Cortex is seeking a talented Marketing Communications Executive to join a rapidly growing team in a developing role that has a strong focus on supporting Cortex partner enablement and engagement along with direct client lead generation and campaign management.

The candidate will have excellent multi-tasking skills and work in a changing and fast-paced environment. They will work as part of a team continuously developing and improving B2B marketing skills and strategies. They will work independently and self-sufficiently when required following good governance practice whilst maintaining a ‘can do’ attitude.

The ideal candidate will be HND/degree educated, interested in, and aptitude to understand technology solutions. They will have a solid understanding of the social and digital tools available in a business environment and how to align these to the wider company marketing strategy

Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Communications

  • Create campaign content for target markets
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results
  • Create marketing material in line with marketing plans for a range of digital channels
  • Manage and implement promotional/advertising campaigns
  • Contribute to the social media strategy
  • Manage Hubspot CRM system, ensuring content is kept up to date
  • Manage external communications to suspects, prospects, partners and customers
  • Produce communications tools for a range of internal and external channels e.g. presentation/report templates, documents, member communications etc.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the generation of regular quality content from across the business
  • Work closely with the sales team and other departments to coordinate marketing and communications campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to optimise content to increase the performance of our digital marketing channels, including website development, social media, and email
  • Providing regular performance measurement and evaluation of the effectiveness of activities and campaigns, in monthly analysis, reporting and as required and taking actions on areas for improvement

Channel Marketing
