The Cortex Projects Team work on Intelligent Automation Technology to transform the way organizations operate. As a Graduate Automation Engineer, you will join our projects team. They act as consultants, working with partners and customers worldwide to deliver solutions by applying Cortex in complex and varied environments. Constant feedback between the projects team and our internal software developers ensures that Cortex remains at the forefront of Intelligent Automation Solutions, with sector-leading functionality and usability.

What will you be doing?

As a Graduate automation software consultant, you will be using the Cortex software to configure solutions which are part of complex automation projects.
Responsibility is given to members of the projects team very quickly, which leads to real opportunity – travel, customer-facing roles, and involvement with higher-level company objectives which interest you.

The orchestration capabilities of Cortex will result in you becoming competent in many complementary technologies such as SQL, PowerShell, REST and web APIs.
We are involved with the entire lifecycle of a project, from requirement capture, through design and implementation to handover. This means that you will get familiar with professional project management, as well as the IT infrastructure that enables our solutions.

Due to nature and size of Cortex, you will have the chance to interact with many aspects of the business: show-and-tell presentations on exceptional projects and processes from the sales and marketing teams will increase your business awareness, and interactions with the development team will familiarise you with the SCRUM development methodology.

The Team and Role

The projects we work on use Intelligent Automation Technology to transform the way organizations operate. As a Graduate Automation Engineer, you will join our new Customer Success Department. This is a fresh initiative focussed exclusively on ensuring every customer and consumer of our technology realizes a maximum benefit from the use of our products. The team will be led by an Automation veteran with 2 decades of experience at the cutting edge of all aspects of Business and Process Automation.

The role will require you to become an expert in the use of our products and associated technologies. This may require working as a member of the Projects and Professional services team for an initial period to develop this knowledge and associated skills.

What will you be doing?

The Customer Success role will require embedding in customer and partner teams in order to assist them with applying best practice, optimal use of solutions and maximising realisation of benefits. Knowledge and lessons learned will be key to providing feedback into al aspects of the Cortex business to ensure we remain at the forefront of Intelligent Automation Solutions.

As a Graduate automation customer success software consultant, you will be working with customers and partners and their use and adoption of the Cortex software to:

  1. Identify their definition of what success looks like
  2. Agree on specific metrics to measure and report on agreed success criteria
  3. Working with user teams to select, scope, design, risk manage Automation initiatives
  4. Identify new opportunities and equally importantly assist with understanding and avoiding inappropriate initiatives.
  5. Optimising and minimising license consumption where appropriate
  6. Assisting customers and partners with achieving self-sufficiency in the use of the product and automation implementation in general
  7. Auditing and advising on best practice adoption
